About Me

Manpreet attended law school at the University of Windsor and University of British Columbia (UBC). She summered and articled at the Fasken, a prestigious downtown firm. Before law school, she worked in politics for several years, specifically as a Strategic Advisor to the leaders of political parties, where she led teams in PR, policy, stakeholder management, fundraising, and communications. Her political expertise helped her organize eleven elections. Manpreet has also served the community through her work at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario at Queen’s Park. Manpreet has over a decade of experience as a Public Speaker and Event Host. Her experience in theatre also led her to star in Punjabi feature films. Throughout law school, Manpreet has worked with a law professor to conduct research on Canadian Constitutional Law, and worked and managed her own client files at the Indigenous Community Legal Clinic (UBC). She has also helped manage and expand several family-owned restaurants. She graduated on the Dean’s List with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), where she led a number of initiatives, including teaching a first-year business course and organizing a business conference. She currently sits on the board of Niwaas LTC, a long-term care home facility. Manpreet is a multipotentialite and nemophilist and in her spare time enjoys climbing mountains. She is also an avid reader and is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, and is currently learning French.
